This year’s festival was as popular as ever, with 40 sponsored decorated trees and the main display was a life size Gingerbread house with live (yes live) Gingerbread man.
It was truely magical and people didn’t realise the Gingerbread man was real until he moved, I think he enjoyed giving people a fright (naughty man).

A first for this year was a decorated tree by Government House, which HE The Governor Colin Martin-Reynolds CMG was very proud of, but looking at the other tree’s with their imaginative home made decorations, he felt they could do better next year.

We want to thank everyone who decorated a tree and visited over the several days we were open your donations are very much welcome for the continued support the Mission can give to Seafarers.

Another feature of this year’s Festival was Sophie’s Sweet Cart where you could purchase a ¼ lb of your favourite sweets to bring back childhood memories.
