Our facilities are here 24/7 for all Seafarers.
All facilities are free for Seafarers and are supported by the local and UK seafaring community.
We have a limited amount of free internet available to Seafarers through our onsite hotspot through Freedom Hotspot, and currently sponsored by Sure Foundation.
We have always maintained high standards of hygiene within the Mission as a legacy of Covid those standards have heightened. Showers and wash facilities are available to all seafarers as are laundry facilities, soaps and shampoos are available.
The Mission belongs to seafarers it is literally their home ashore in Stanley and we endeavour to make it as relaxing and comfortable as possible, and just like home we encourage them to care for the facilities.
We have a number of ways to relax or unwind, including a pool table, board games, guitars, a comfortable lounge area, and a TV with mulitple satellite channels including some in Spanish.
Hot drinks and snacks are available 24/7 for Seafarers to help themselves.
Maintains a no alcohol policy.
Vast amounts of new and second hand clothing are donated to the Mission for Seafarers to take as they need.
The Mission respects and recognises all faiths and those of no faith. A variety of Bibles and books are available. Staff are always happy to talk privately with Seafarers.
The Prayer room is often used for both Prayer and quiet time – including private conversations with families.
The Haven provides accommodation and care for Seafarers recovering from sickness or injury. It is full board with catering being to individual needs. Mission staff are trained to care for all their needs.
We have a limited amount of free internet available to fishing industry seafarers. We also sell Sure Internet and Phone cards.
We have laundry facilities and a small stock of detergents available to purchase.
We have hot showers and wash facilities and keep a selection of soaps and shampoos to purchase.
We have a pool, table football and air hockey to play, as well as a selection of board games and magazines for quieter entertainment. A television is surrounded by comfortable sofas for relaxing.
We have a self-serve hot drink station that is free to seafarers and a selection of snacks available to buy.
The Mission has a strict no alcohol policy.
Our clothing bank is there to provide replacement clothes or some extra layers. Clothes are donated by the local community.
We have a prayer/quiet room that can be used for prayer, meditation and other reflective reasons.
While we are a Christian organisation, we welcome people from all faiths and no faith.
