Supporting Seafarers in the Falkland Islands

The Lighthouse Seafarers Mission is an independent Christian Charity serving all seafarers within the Falkland Islands.

Staff and Volunteers provide practical, emotional and spiritual support within the Mission and when necessary on board vessels.

Alongside a range of welfare and emergency services we offer full board accommodation for seafarers recuperating from sickness or injury.

Who are we here for?

Yachts, cruise ship staff and crew from all craft types are welcome.

We also welcome Royal Navy and Merchant Navy seafarers.

We offer practical help and aid to those in need alongside our recreational facilities, where one can relax, contact home and feel a stable floor for a while.

Frequently Asked Questions

The centre is open 24 hours a day when ships are alongside. We're also available by telephone or email.

Most of the facilities are free for the fishing industry. Some items do carry a small cost, but we keep these as low as we can.

Yes. As long as you are a seafarer visiting the Falklands, we are here for you.
