This year’s Christmas Tree Festival – our 8th took place between 7th and 10th December 2023.
Once again it proved to be a great success – with many more visitors both local and tourists from the Cruise Ship.
The static display (always kept a secret until the opening) delighted both young and old.
Possibly the best yet? ‘Rockhopper Ski Run’ with, of course Après Ski!
A Christmas Stocking Mystery Raffle – 50 great prizes and you only got to know what the prize was when you were handed your winning stocking.
Then with the Rockhopper Ski Run you had the Chance to win one or more of the beautifully attired Penguins.
And looking backwards from the main display the first thing visitors saw was the Prayer Tree inside the Cathedral. Young and old alike rushing to write their prayer on a card and hang it on the tree.
Literally dozens and dozens of prayers offered.
And of course ‘The Night Before Christmas Scene’ delighted everyone and it was simply amazing how many people recognized our tribute to ‘Marlon’ our beautiful Mission Schnauzer, who sadly passed away in June 2023, sitting amongst the bears.
Yet another success story and as most people exclaimed ‘Our Christmas has now started’
